Cool mirrored Hard drive enclosure for 2.5-inch SATA based hard drives up to 250GB. USB2.0 connection, powered by USB port. This means no external power is required to use this device.
Slim aluminium silver design with OTB One-Touch Backup function. The slim design allows the enclosure to be transported easily in a pocket or laptop bag and it provides an excellent choice for backing up valuable data.
This 2.5" SATA enclosure is suitable hard drives up to 250GB capacity with the IDE interface. Larger capacities may work but only 250GB is officially supported.
Retail package contains HDD enclosure, USB cable, Driver CD (for Windows 98), quick installation guide, screwdriver.

USB2 speeds
The cable that is supplied with these units is the one needed for USB2.0 transfers. There is no documentation for this and I found it out by accident. It seems obvious now but a pointer in the right direction would have been nice! |

Good gear at good prices
I got two of these and they are both sweet on the PS3. Picked up as USB2 no probs, however Windows XP is a different matter. As yet they are still only detected as USB1 devices, which is a nightmare considering the transfer speed difference between 1&2!
Oooh btw, the Samsung 500GB HM500LI works perfectly in this unit, but that isn't what I bought them for! |
