The M.2 form factor is quickly becoming the main standard in SSDs for both laptops and desktop computers. When used in desktop systems, these SSDs can often generate a lot of heat, and finding an effective cooling solution can be critical, especially for systems that run for long periods of time each day.
This is where our cooling options for M.2 SSDs come in - we carry a range of heatsinks that can be applied to the SSD inside a computer system, provided there is enough space inside the case. Adding a heatsink (along with a thermal pad or thermal paste) provides a much larger surface area for the heat to dissipate from. Keeping the SSD at a reasonable temperature can help improve performance and extend the lifetime of the SSD.
