Waited ages for the 32 Gig runcore SSD to come into stock, so opted for the 64gig super talent, only paid an extra £25 for the extra 32 gig so it was a good deal, it has turned my EEEpc into a very usable machine, unfortunately like other EEEPC users the price of the replacment SSD is more than half the cost of the original PC which seems a bit odd, very happy with memoryC, their advise was good and the delivery was quick, many thanks for the 5 discount because of the wait for the runcore, I will certainly be using them again.

Good replacement for standard SSD on EEE 901

I recently purchased this SSD after experiencing a number of problems with stuttering using Ubuntu and OSX on my Eee 901. After updating the firmware to 1808 the SSD was detected correctly and appeared as Primary Slave with the 4GB PHISON as Secondary Master. This doesn't seem to cause any problems but looked strange.
Once the OS was reinstalled boot up times are now a fraction of the time with the old SSD (around 6-8 seconds). There are no issues with stuttering as you sometimes see with slower disks.
All in all a worthwhile upgrade although it does feel wrong having a SSD which is half the value of the EEE itself.

Pimped my 901 with this - very happy

Installed into an EEE PC 901, replacing the stock 16Gb second SSD. Installation was painless, although a BIOS upgrade is required to at least version 1805 (I'm on 1902)
Disk is much quicker than the one it replaced, very happy with the performance running a new installation of WinXP (installation procedure automatically picked this disk up as the primary boot disk - the remaining 4Gb stock SSD is currently empty)
