Reliability

Speed
Renice K3VLAR E series SSD uses the native PATA EastWho EWS720 controller for top of the line speed and reliability. The EastWho controller provides fast read/write speed up to 120MB/90MB/s and 64MB of cache to insure seamless recall of commonly used data in your system.

I replaced Runcore SSD (which failed 2 time in y wife's Air) to this brand. Till now it is working with no issue, it is a bit slower than Runcore in Xbench, but you can not feel in normal usage. I hope it will not fail as 2 Runcore previously, so I shall wait 5-6 months before make the final decision.

The K3vlar was just what I expected. A fast, reasonably priced SSD for my Vaio P. And MemoryC also fulfilled my expectations. Easy ordering procedure and fast shippment! In less than a week the SSD reached Greece. The K3vlar is now installed in my Sony Vaio P which became really really fast!

Very good product. Easy to install and worked first time.
I used this to replace the mechanical harddrive in my Dell D420.
Makes a hell of a lot of a difference in boot up speed, but also much snappier response under Ubuntu (which I am using).

Second youth for Acer Aspire One A110

I bought this in order to revive my old Acer Aspire One A110. The original blue one, very light and small, but with a desesperatly sloooow 8GB internal SSD drive.
Mounting the Renice drive wasn't easy and required dismounting most parts of the netbook as well as cutting very small parts of plastic inside, in order to make room for the drive (you'll find step by step tutorials about this on the web if you're interested). But it was really worth the pain!
The Renice drive turned my Aspire One into a new netbook: it reduced boot time by 90%!!!
With Linux (linux4one, a Ubuntu Variant) as well as with Windows XP (double boot for
the few softwares I need that won't run with anything else than Windows). I assigned 40GB to Linux and 20GB to Windows. Which is much more than what is necessary: the A110 being a netbook, one doesn't have to store data on it since data should be on the network, or the cloud.
If you aren't afraid of completly dismantling your A110 for a few hours you'll be very happy with this upgrade!

Installation was easy, used ifixit.com step by step directions and job took
about 30 minutes. Another hour for disk cloning and MB Air was up and running again.

The fact that the SSD came with a usb enclosure was a nice surprise,
there was no mention of it anywhere.
On the downside, the included screwdriver is totally useless... Just
throw it out and get a better quality screwdriver to do the job.

Arrived very quickly, in under 48hrs.
Installation was very simple and immediately could see the improvement of speed. No problems at all so far with the hard drive and very happy.
Only thing worth mentioning is the external case that it comes with, the screw holes were too small, so that the screws were ruined by the supplied screwdriver trying to screw them in. Not a problem for me, but if someone was looking for an external SSD drive, might want to be aware of this. (I dropped it one mark for this)

dead after 1.5 years :-/

after 1.5 years working in my notebook this SSD failed from one moment to another. it simply is not detected any more, neither from native ZIF port nor from ZIF-USB-adapter. I am really disappointed, the price was not as less as I expect a failure after such a short time.
that's why I am now rating don't buy, definitely I would not buy it again, wasted money.

the 60GB drive is NOT able to perform 120MB/sec read and 90MB/sec write. only the 120GB and 240GB drives of this family apply for this speed.
the 60GB drive is at 90MB/sec read and 60MB/sec write, the 30GB drive is at 60MB/30MB.
nevertheless, my nc2400 boots up now within less than 30secs. with my old harddrive it needed over about 2 minutes.
the enclosure which comes with the drive looks nice, but is a little bit instable, aber about 5 connects of the USB-cable I suddenly had the female USB connector on the connector, not any more on the enclosure. ):
With a lot of deftness I could solder, it works again.
