I recently purchased three of these and have had no problems using them. However, it would be nice if the manufacturer could incorporate a key ring holder as they even look cooler when on your keyring. I was able to drill mine. I put the hole for the split ring through the Leprechaun's pipe. Of course, this has nothing to with the functionality of the product which deserves FIVE STARS.
