I searched for a hardwire loom for a Transcend Drivepro DP520 and this product was one of the top products. It looked like everything I needed, although the description was limited, it did say it was designed for the Drivepro dashcam series. When it arrived it was not for my DrivePro DP520!! It had a different connection at the end, which did not fit my dashcam and quite possibly was running on a different current. As a consequence it was money down the drain. My advice, don't believe everything you read, and ask questions before you purchase!

This cable was to install a DrivePro 230 DashCam. The first essential is to ensure that the cable has the correct usb connector on the camera-end of the cable; the 230 has a micro-USB. There is a good length of cable before you reach the small transformer box and it was easy to route it down to the fuse box located in my case behind the glove box. The grounding cable has an already installed earthing connector which is fastened to a convenient nut/bolt. The live side has an inline 2amp fuse incorporated in the circuit and all you need to do is to connect to an appropriate fuse on the board with a piggyback connector (not supplied). Using the genuine part means there a likely to be less problems etc. A satisfactory outcome.
