Built for applications of the highest importance, the Mushkin PRO Series is available in unbuffered, ECC unbuffered, and ECC registered. Mushkin modules are tested and carry a limited lifetime warranty.

Registers are located between the incoming address and control information and the SDRAM components. These modules are used in high end workstations and servers due to their added reliability. Typically registered modules are also ECC (Error Checking & Correcting). Registered ECC modules allow systems such as servers to have reliable load and timing ratios as well as being able to check and correct any single bit error. As many as 32 separate modules can be placed in very high end servers. This Mushkin parts consists of CMOS Synchronous DRAMs in TSOP-II 400mil packages, three 18-bits Drive ICs for input control signal, one PLL in 24-pin TSSOP package for clock and one 2K EEPROM in 8-pin TSSOP pack-age for Serial Presence Detect on a 184-pin glass epoxy substrate. Synchronous design allows precise cycle control with the use of system clock. I/O transactions are possible on every clock cycle. Range of operating frequencies along with programmable latencies allow the same device to be useful for a variety of high bandwidth, high performance memory system applications.
