MemoryC and Delivery aside (because they were abysmal) the HDD works like a dream for the PS3 (which is why I bought it) and you can buy with confidence if you are thinking of this item for that purpose.
A simple switch with the current HDD followed by a format of the new one, once installed, equals 465/500gb of HDD space, ready to be consumed by all the great content on the PSN.
I've had no problems with load speeds, read times and other such "reported" problems. Every game I own and have purchased works 100% and all of my old content restored from backup without a hitch.
