The SuperTalent SATA Mini 2 PCIe SSD is an upgrade module specifically designed to be a drop in replacement for the ASUS Eee PC S101,900, 900A, and 901 netbook PCs. The modules are simple and easy to install for immediate capacity and performance benefits.
These modules are the fastest SATA Mini PCIe SSDs available in the market today. Delivering over 5x the performance of the original Eee PC SSDs. These products also make excellent high performance small form factor products for embedded system designers.
The 16GB MLC based product features sequential read speeds up to 150 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 100 MB/s. The MLC drives come with Super Talent’s 2 year warranty.
Important note about BIOS versions
In order for this product to work, the following BIOS versions (or later) must be installed on the ASUS EEE netbook:
ASUS Eee PC 900: BIOS version 0906
ASUS Eee PC 900A: BIOS version 0703
ASUS Eee PC 901: BIOS version 1808
ASUS Eee PC 901 GO: Any BIOS version
ASUS Eee PC S101: Any BIOS version

Upgraded an EEE PC 901 Linux, an EEE PC 901 Windows; and an EEE PC 900, all with no problems. The three machines are now significantly faster, as well overcoming the 4GB EEE PC barrier.

I've had this in my eee901 for two weeks now and the performance increase is noticeable. No more lockups for waiting writes to complete.Price is a bit high considering the space, but it's worth it.

Whereas the eeepc 900 the write speed of the 4GB ssd only 25Mb / s with this new ssd much improved performance, beyond the limit of space.

Asus 900A with the new SSD is a rocket.
I equipped my FIRST Asus 900A with FPM16GLSE since 4 month ago.
Then I look for another 900A (also used) for my son which make music with very heavy applications and need to bring instruments out of home.
I found it recently ant immediatly I supply it with new SSD.
Price is not so cheap, but performance....

I have the slow eeepc 900A, with this ssd my computer is totally different now, it worth every cent, is a super recommended upgrade, I'm going to order an ssd for the desktop too.
