Overall this is a nice robust USB 3 drive. I purchased 2 of them. The rubber coated portable hard drive not only should take a few knocks, but even water shouldn't be a problem for this durable drive, not that I am going to try it, but if you happen to drop it in the bath, it should survive.

I purchased these drives for carrying back and forth in my duties, which involves lots of travel and flying around, particularly in helicopters, with my kit bag slung in the cargo hold

There is a wrap around USB 3 cable 28cm (about 11 inches) it is completely removable, and snuggly fitted around the drive. I have never used it as I purchased a longer USB 3 cable some time ago (USB 3.0 A-Male to Micro B) But it is handy to know that I will always have a spare cable.

The drive does not require an external separate power supply, just plug it in to a USB 3 or USB 2 Port

Once you register the Drive on the Adata site, you get some very good software for free. HDD USB to Go and OS to Go for example
